    Vortex 22" Hydro Video....

I bought this DeltaForce Vortex 22" Hydro, from a member here on the OSE forum.... I bought the Hull and hardware w/servo....

I installed a Feigao 7S, CC125 esc, and 2S lipo....... The boat needs a stiffer turn fin and longer rudder, other than that it runs great!!

Temps after the run in the video were, 116deg. motor, 102deg. esc, 118deg. lipo....

Nice video txboatpilot! Your setups seem to always be on the mark. Did you mount the strut with a slight offset to the port side or did you mount it in the center? If so, by how much?
I just ordered a DF22 Hydro and planning on powering it with a Feigao 8L-3084kv, 3S/5000/30C, Solinger HW, and x440/2 to start.
              Thanks.

I did not install the hardware, I got the Hull and BBY Drag hardware, from OSE swapshop... It was installed straight down the middle...

If I were building it, I would offset the motor 1/4 to 1/2".....

                For the 8L on 3S 5000mAh, I would start with a X635 or X637.... Hydros like X6 series props!
JMO, with a hydro this lengh and weight, smaller props are better... Not so much torque roll...

Great advice, good start! OK, I'll try to mount in the offset position, as that seems to be the general consensus. The x6 sounds like it'll give it better lift too than the x4. Thanks tx, I'll let you know how it turns out.

For a DF22 with Solinge, Do you want to have the prop in the exact center or offset a little?

OJ Racer, if you center the 2 mounting holes exactly in the center, the inherent design of the Solinger is such that your strut/prop are offset exactly 3/16" to the right from center. That's where you want to be for this hydro.

Yeah, I figured that out. I'm basically done. I just need a servo linkage boot, antenna and batteries and I'm hitting the river!
