t180 timing help

    t180 timing help

    what should timing be on running t180 esc, 7xl with 4s and k42 prop,in a df26.I know for a 4pole motor its 15deg. but for a feigao I dont know?

    I was told once to use 7.5 deg on the 2 pole feigaos. I had a 540L running that way, never had an issue.

      NORBIQUE (OR ANYONE), what results if you would go with high timing on a motor like this? Or any motor that is lower in pole count.....

        like mentioned 7.5 will work best on the feigaos.To the OP not all 4 pole motors like 15* it all depends on the motor wind, y wind motor may like 15* but d wind motors like a lot lower. I have 4 pole Tacons that are d winds and i can't run higher then 7.5...

          If the timing is wrong the motor will produce more heat then actually power and cause a lot of problems.

            Thanks Diesel, So more heat.... and all the goodness that can bring with it! Like too much heat, ie smoke.... fire.... ouch! (And no real increase in power output I presume....especially if you smoke your esc )
