    batts vs esc

    i been using these batteries Rhino 3700mAh 2S1P 20C Lipoly Packs
    with stock proboat esc 45 amp.and motor ,x440/3 prop . i never had a problem ? now after about 7 runs using these batteries Turnigy 4000mAh 2S 40C Lipo Pack
    the esc stoped working?? will i need higher amp esc?? thks
    2 SV27s, 1 SV27r, 2 BLACKJACKS 26, 1 GENESIS 40

    No you won't bigger esc. Actually it is possible that your rhino packs actually contributed to the failure of your esc. Those packs just don't put out enough amps. You want your packs to supply as many amps as possible. More amps the better. Your motor determines the the size esc that you need based on how many amps its pulls, but you always want your packs to supply as much as possible. With those rhino packs being so small in mah and c rating it is possible they could not supply the needed amp load and lead to an earlier failure to your esc. I wouldn't run those rhino packs again...

    * If it's the stock esc PB and HH may replace it for you. There customer service is amazing!
