    Dual motors=Dual Hardware?

Im just wondering if you run dual motors do you need to run dual props and hardware? Do I need 1 or 2 rudder and steering servos. Thanks for any input.

It depends on what you want to do. The question is very general. What do you have in mind? After we know that it's easer to direct you.

im thinking of building this for my dad: http://www.horizonhobby.com/Products...ProdID=PRB2051

im gonna build it with dual motors so its kinda like his real boat. He's not gonna run it extremely alot. But it would be cool to have it with set up with two sets of hardware. I was just wondering if i needed to buy two sets of hardware, 2 ESC's etc etc. Im gonna give this too him becuase he got me a SV27. Plus this is for him paying for my college. Decided i would ask here before i did it.

Also im going to build a replica moonshine boat. Kinda like this hull :http://www.billingboats.com/570.htm
Im gonna give it to my grandfather. His father was a boat runner and thats how he remeber's him beuase that saved there family during the depression. I wanted to go with dual motors in that. for looks and speed. But if not ill go brushless.

Ok hardware first. If you want twin props yes you will need to double up on everything. You can also run dual motors on a gearbox to a single prop. This is done in order to use larger diameter props. In regards to electrics for brushless you need 2 controllers. For most brushed motors you can use a single esc. I would suggest you run a single motor for your first build. A single KB45 brushless motor on 18 to 22 volts will get you 40mph+ for a reasonable cost. The factory hardware will be fine for this setup with just adding an electric motor mount. This conversion has been done. Talk to Steven V. he can point you in the right direction & may have some pictures.

For ease of wiring .... Traxxas has a an ESC that will control 2 motors-- EVX2 marine version. Its on OSE site the last item on the brushed esc page Traxxas # 3022???

I use it to control 2 Aquacraft EP1's on one of our builds!
