What is ACTUALLY bad about the NEW style 40-160??

To those WHO KNOW, what are the problems with the new style 40-160?

Is it that they dont like 'D' wind motors now? What actually happens when you push one like you would push the old style?

    Thanks

    Haven't had a problem on a 1527/1y 6s2p rigger at 160 amps.

People have had problems when using a Schulze 40-160 along with a Neu D wind motor. The resistance is so low on the D wind that the esc looses rotor position.

The older 40-160s were no better in that respect, I know that neither Brian nor I could not get reliable performance with the original 40-160 and any Neu 1D wind motor, even with the latest v16 software. OTOH the 1.5D Neus worked just fine because they had higher impedence.

Sorry for my slow reply. Thank you for answering my question. I just need a GOOD, RELIABLE speedy for 6S, I love my Old style 40-160!

          Cheers

If running a 1527/1.5d or 1527/1y on 6s the new version 40/160 is fine.

The only bad thing that i have heard from them is that the Low Voltage cut off is pre set. Not sure what it is set at but some find that especially running a 1p setup it kicks in. Not sure if they are talking oval or saw setups.

Oh and the fact that its about 1inch longer than the old version.
