    Need help with wingrush

I bought an ebay boat (wingrush) and want to replace the twin props and 380
size motors with a 540 size car motor and hpi e10 electronics. i have already
made a rudder and attached it but i don't know the best way to attach the
single shaft. I was thinking maybe to take one of the old shafts and drill a hole
in the hull and put it through there but im not sure if thats a good idea. I am
also thinking about putting 2 batteries in but im not sure the speed controller
will handle it. alternatively i have ordered a Li-Po of ebay which should arrive
    soon.

How long/wide is the V hull?

I always wanted to convert a hull like that for fun, now that you can find cheap controllers.

If it is the one I think it is, I would use a Fiegao 8S motor with atleast an 80 amp controller, 120 amp is even better on 2S lipo, x430 prop. It will draw about 65 amps and will run in the 20's and will be fun to drive, if you can keep it on the water.

As always Mr. Watts has suggested a good powersystem. I would not run car eletrics. It can be done but it will not be much better than stock. For your drive cable question pick up a drive tube and cable system here on ose. It is inexpensive, easy to install & maintain. You will need some type of strut for the propshaft. An aquacraft stinger or octura skeg strut are another cheap option & can also be found in the store. The best way for us to help you is start a thread in the boat building section take some pictures and post them up.
      Good luck & have fun

            Australia

the problem is that i live in australia and that would make the potage stupidly expensive. Do you guys know any good links for shops in australia. any links would be greatly appreciated thanks for your help
