    Mono Build Need Help!

    Hello,

I am building a 24" Mono. I am looking for advice on weather I should use a miss vegas
strut that i have or should I go with a small stinger? Also I have a Tacon 36-50-1800kv rated at 600 watts. I feel this will be to much motor as the
boat is very light. I also have a tacon 28-48- 1800kv rated at 350 watts. Would either be a good motor? Any advice is appriciated.

    Thanks,
    Darrell

I am not familiar with the strut you have but as long as there is adjustment possible it should work. The motors would likely be more than enough but not necessarily too much. The hull may be light but with the addition of the motor, batteries, servo, esc and hardware it will be quite a bit heavier. That hull looks like it has a ton of room so you could even go with two large packs in parallel to get longer runs and add a bit more weight to keep it stable.

Looks like a stubby little boat.

        Hello,

Yes the boat is stubby, I am building it for a 12 year old nabor.
My thought was that it would be harder to roll it over.
There is also a flat area on the bottom. Basicly a experment.

Kendt, that was my thought to put a Lipo on each side wired Parallel.

        Thanks
