    Help with a build

I would love to get back into RC stuff and being that I live on the water I would like to build a boat. This is all new to me, but I am plenty handy and pick up on most things rather quickly.

I was wondering if there were any links or anywhere you guys could point me to figure all of this out.

Looking to build a Deep Vee hull capable of running 45+ mph. I don't need anything crazy, but a good reliable boat that I can enjoy in a narrow salt water canal. At first I wanted to build an outboard center console boat, but I don't see any prefabbed hulls/decks for a center console style. So looks like I will probably go with a brushless LiPo.

I'm looking for a parts list of what I will need to buy and possibly any information on HOW TO actually build a boat.

Right now I am more interested in learning more about building a boat and the process than actually getting started and just hoping someone can point me in the right direction so I can at least ask educated questions before I start my build.

    Thanks

    Boat Build

If you want to build the hull, I do not know of any vee or mono kits. Maybe someone else does.
You could go with one of the fiberglass hulls available here on OSE.
Then you will need the following parts.

Motor, coupler, drive cable with drive dog and nut, stuffing tube, strut, prop.
Rudder, linkage and servo. ESC, batteries and radio system. Also a Lipo battery charger.

I would reccomend going electric at least to start with. Far less noise and hassle and often faster than gas or nitro.
Really if your totally new to boats, I would recommend that you buy a ready to run boat
like the SV27. Learn to maintain and repair it then you will be better prepaired to build one.
If you have some experience building then read the build treads here. You will find many ideas.
