    pursuit turning issues

the boat will skip in corners i have medium ose turnfins on it and have tried using the trimtabs to push the nose down i flipped it today when cornering i have never had this problem on other boats, do i need a longer turnfins?

i usually run 4s2p with batts in the middle and have tried them on the outside to help but not much difference today i used a p-spec setup with single 4s1p- i have not yet done a full bore turn even with the 35 mph p-spec setup

i will try to get video later today

Try tucking the rudder in a bit towards the stern, this will pull it down in the turn, tilted away adds lift in the turns.
If my boats upside down then who owns the one I thought I was driving the last two laps?

i cant bring the bottom of the rudder toward the transom with out a little modify the rudder bracket but can be done i will try it also but wont it cause lift because its exposing the flat of the bottom of the rudder to the water

Sharpen the bottom of the rudder, there is some good setup info on this site here.

after you round the bottom of the rudder, take your turns fins and adjust them so that the trailing edge of the fins are straight up and down. (if you haven't done so already)

if they are angled outwards (the bottom tip of the fin) they can and will do the same thing as adjusting the rudder in and out.

          give it a try.

arent the fins supposed to be 90 degrees with bottom of the hull not straight up and down, i have not rounded the rudder yet but was able to kick the rudder inward with a little modifcation and still did not see any difference also tried lowering the turnfins just to see if anything would change though would cause a little drag because it exposed the unsharpened part to the water

the last run i made was the best but may have been a small change in water conditions, i was running in light chop all day which this boat can easily handle it did not chine walk at all and running clean. this was the first time running my proboat motor and esc in this boat and i am impressed cool temps and long runtimes

the trailing edge of the fins parallel with the transom of the boat. or 90 deg. to the bottom of the boat. how ever you want to look at it.
              yepper. :-)
