    Lipo's

In genearal what does it mean if a Lipo is puffed up? I used the set I have 2 times, charged them at 1 amp. The amp rateing of the packs are well above the amp draw and ONE of the packs is puffed up. It dont look to good to me but anyone have any info?

You need to properly dispose of that pack. Once they puff they are done. Sucks you lost one .

LiPo cell amp "ratings" can be grossly inflated - or not. This is a risk with some less expensive cells. Did you break in the pack as per the instructions? How do you know the exact amp draw you had on the pack? What was the temperature of the pack when you ran it? A cold pack - under 70F - can puff even if discharged within the maker's guidelines.

SJFE is right, dispose of the puffed cell according to the manufacturer's instructions - DON'T JUST DUMP IT IN THE TRASH!

I made a call to where I got it. We went threw a lot of possablitys including the charger, being I used them 2 times and am 100% positive they did not charge higher then 8.24 volts, so thats not it, the amp draw is way under the rating of the pack, so thats not it. The pack was not run to deep into the cycle. Basically Engelnd has from time to time a cell fail but not many, since one side of the cell loks puffed and not the other, it looks like I just got a bad cell. They are replacing the pack N/C.

Excellent place for your Lipo's http://www.rclipos.com/
