    Drive coupler question.

Would a coupler for 4mm brushless motor shaft fit a 3.15 mm motor shaft with minimal difficulty? If no anyone have suggestions for a coupler that'd fit a 3.15mm motor shaft and also a .150 flex cable?

    Welcome to the Forum Ian,

You don't really want to use a 4mm coupler on a 1/8" shaft. The coupler will wobble excessively and eventually break the cable and/or the motor shaft. They make 1/8" to .150" cable couplers although they are a little scarce at the moment.

The OSE shop carries them, but they are out of stock at the moment: http://www.offshoreelectrics.com/pro...rod=ose-str-ci

Jeff Wholt usually carries some as well, but he is closed till the end of August: http://www.rcraceboat.com/

Thanks for the welcome and the answers. I have another question for you. Do you know of any cheap materials to improvise a flex cable? Somehow I can't bring myself to spend 20 dollars on something I could improvise.

Not really any cheaper methods for a flex cable.

Thank you sir. One last question. Any idea what the flex shaft diameter is on the traxxas Titan? It turns out the traxxas flex shaft is the cheapest ive found but I don't know what size it is so I can get a coupler that fits it and motor.
