    Silent Engines-Justin Hill

There have been a number of posts on Intlwaters and Jim's Boatdock about the passing of Justin Hill. He was a gas/nitro racer here in Az and NAMBA Dist 19, and he also provided the Az Winter Warmups FE race with so much help over the years, that many of you know him.
Unfortunately, his work schedule got in the way of our 2011 race so his attendance was limited, but previous years he would be found in the retrieval boat, helping pit, corner judging, course setup/tear down or just shooting the breeze and laughing with fellow racers. He truly provided way more than he ever received in this hobby...more than just about anyone I know. His generousity had no boundaries, and his laughter was infectious. In fact, my winning P-Ltd Rigger at the '10 Nat's was built by him, and he built it for me as a complete surprise.

Godspeed, Justin! You will be missed dearly and the Scottsdale Model Boaters and NAMBA Dist 19 won't be the same.

This picture is of the 2011 NAMBA Gas Nat's with his twin rigger win. He's in the middle.

It was with extreme sadness that I received this devastating news. FE has lost a true Brother. Justin was a gas/nitro racer, but his dedication to the hobby as a whole was beyond limits. At District 19 races like Winter Warmups he pitched in with all his heart, helping setup, manning the rescue boat, and was a great pit man helping me and many others get around the course safely and in the right position. His attitude was amazing, and his sense of humor and infectuous laugh always brightened up the festivities. He will be sorely missed, and my prayers are with his family and friends.

Race Hard / Die Free, Brother

That's very sad... Brian told me about this a couple of days ago. Our prayers go out to his family and friends...

I called Sue night before last and talked quite a while and she said that they are doing a very thourou (spelling) autopsy on Justin.
The Dr.'s didn't know what caused his death. She said that they sould know something in a few days. She said that Greg is not taking it very well at all.
He tries to figure out what to do and for the most part loses it. As most of you know from years past, the 2 of them were just about unseperable.

She did ask, not to send any more flowers and that she would be figuring out a charity for donations and such.

Please take the time and let them know that they are in your prayers and that Justin will not be forgotten.

        Thats all for now,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
