Are you double checking everything?????

How many of you check and double check before you tape up and launch your boat???

I try to and do a fair job, but today was different.............

Iwas running with local friends Stringfly(member here) and Bruce, mainly pursuit races on our course and thought I'd run my Big scale Dumas. Well, got her ready and launched her..............She normally takes a short time getting up on plane in real scale fashion, but this time she wouldnt get going. Turned around brought her in and noticed something dark underneath??

When she got close i could see what it was. I called to String and Bruce to check out something they just had to see.....................Lifted her up and there it was.....................the entire PVC stand was stuck to the bottom of the hull.............LOL

I have had days like that so I'm just going to to say.....glad you got your stand back!

LOL That would have been a great video.
I did that with the drain plug, Thought why is my bow so high.
Till i got it back in.

well i forgot to hookup the water line today to exit the boat, this is after i forgot my fishing pole the wind carried the boat out to far to cast to after i when back to the house to get it. luckily i flagged down a boater to get it form me

I have been guilty of more than a few boneheaded moves but I can't say that I have ever done that.

Since bonhead moves came up.......how about in eagerness to try a new setup, plugging in two brand new 5000 3s batts together!!! Loud......smoke......burned knuckle hair..................i had black hands too............this was a year or so ago, have been much more careful and not done that again.

You should feel good about the fact that can post this little mishap , part of the enjoyment with R/C Boating is in the things that go wrong .........
