    anyone ever heard of this

back in the day my friends had some gas powered rc boats and they took little cloth bags and put charcoal like you put in aquarium filters in them and put them in the bottom of the radio box to absorb any water that gets in. do people still do this. just curious.

    Never heard of that.

On the flip side the stuff thats in diapers is super absorbent. I think its silica gel or something of the sorts.

I don't know anyone that actually uses a radio box, but I see some guys that put a little piece of kitchen sponge in the bottom of the boat and should any water get in it runs down to the sponge and stops there as opposed to getting flung all over the boat and possibly into the radio as it skips round the course.
