Mounting and cooling questions 4 the 1518 in my project boat

I have a bunch of questions before moving forward any more on my mhz cat project.

Mounting Questions: I added 1/4" thick "feet" of cf to the mounting kits I had already. I did this to add strength to them and give me the ability to place screws through the feet and screw the feet to a plate of the same thicknes cf so the motors could be easily removed. The feet are scewed and epoxyed to the original small cf plates on the side.

    1. Is this mount strong enough for the 1518?

    2. If I go forward using this mount does the 1518 need additional support in the rear?

Cooling the 1518s: I have ordered 2 of these http://www.castlecreations.com/products/cc_blower.html to cool the motors. The motors r being mounted in the sponsons. Since I am using a 7.2v lipo to power the receiver and servo, I plan to power these by the same source. They r light and very easy to hookup. Considered water cooling the motors but like the ease and lightness of this. What do u think?

Concerning using and external 7.2 voltage source, I plan to make a small waterproof box that fits the battery and use one set of external wires to a binding post where the fans, receiver and servo will all get their power. What r ur thoughts on this?

What it the method of wiring the 7.2 volt right torque servo to the external battery source and still receive the command to operate from the reciever?

Help appreciated. Remember as an old gasser this stuff is new but I love coming up with ideas of my own as long as they WORK!!!!!

Forgot to ask this too, I am using Etti 150 wc escs with etti capbanks on them will that work ok on 5s ?

Thats alot of questions, I may be able to help with a couple. If been running a 1518 and etti150 in a 30'' mono on 5s for whlile with no problems, not sure what size/wieght your cat is but temps have been good in my setup. I used an etti motor mount http://www.offshoreelectrics.com/pro...prod=etti-h010 with no rear support and that has been holding up fine as well, even after a few decent flips.
I'll be intersted to see how those fans work, it would be a nice alternative if they do the job. Mine is water cooled.

I assume you're using a servo capable of running on 7.2v, most are only 4.8/6.6 but the nice high torque digital ones can handle 7.2v
I'm using this one in my big cat, tons of torque http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...&I=LXXPM0&P=SM
