What to buy....

so i need some thoughts on what to buy.....

Used:
UL1 (used on the forum)
King of Shaves P1 (used on the forum)

New:
Proboat Impulse 31
Aquacraft Motley Crew
Pursuit Impulse
- 1620kv and 125amp esc

Play...don't think I'll race (yet), I just want a fun fast boat, that handles decently....run time is a plus.

get either the motley crew ( faster than ul1) or the impulse 31. I've got both. If you decide on the pursuit, I would pick one up from Steven at OSE, cause his has the leopard motor and hobbywing 180 esc in it already.

What will be a better boat overall? Of I get the pursuit I may just buy one from my local hobby shop...and put in my own esc and when the motor goes upgrade it them....how is the impulse 31 out of the box? Will it work on 4s batteries? Does it take 1 or 2 batteries to operate it (parallel or series)? Thanks

What is the runtime with the impulse 31? Which one do u like better? Advantages of each?

check out this vid. Bought the boat from my local hobby shop, went straight to the lake and this is how it ran box stock. Just put 2 battery packs into it and it was great.
( Runs a lot faster now that I've changed prop to M445, but you got to watch out for heat if you do that.)

The actual build quality of the Mystic or Geico is better than the Motley Crew, the Crew MAY run a bit better, I've seen video that goes both ways.
No experience with the Pursuit or Impulse yet.
I have compared the two cats next to each other. The Proboat models are of a bit higher quality than Aquacraft.

I'd have to disagree with you, the only problem with the Motley Crew is that the stock flex drives were faulty ( aquacraft has acknowledged this and that's why there aren't any new ones shipping out until they have the fix on the flex's) I've had my m/c practically submerged for over half an hour, and because it is so easy to tape up, absolutely no water got into the electronics compartment. My Impulse 31 still leaks a little from the drives.
Both are good boats. For rougher water, get an impulse 31 ( kind of like a sport utility) but if you're on a smooth water, watch the motley crew rip.
