    Genesis help

Hi everone, this is all new to me have a heap of heli's and a couple of cars and edf jets, so thought I'd throw a boat in the mix!
So far, I got a HK genesis stock and that was too slow so went crazy and have burned up a lot of gear, I know I know but I bet everyone does it at the start The latest purchases are a Etti 150 opto esc and a 1900kv leopard 3674 which I'm planning to run on 4s my question is what prop should I be looking at for speed but not burning up any more gear, I see from the genesis forums everyone talking 4074's and I guess that could be in the future, but at this stage what kind of speed can I aim for with this set up, also give me a chance to get used to this boating thing, thanks in advance for your input

heres some tips for the genesis that ive done with mine

Remove all the watercooling tubes, replace with bigger diameter watercooling tubes, and cable tie them tight.
Any hardware that came with the boat, apart from the rudder, remove it.
Remove your battery holders and glue velcro directly to the bottom of the hull.
replace the water inlet at the top back of the hull with a actual bulkhead fitting instead of the hole.
everyone bags the original motor out, however i had about 20 runs with it on 4S and never had any issues with it, but with a T180ESC
having said that, i upgraded it to the 4074 2200kv, and all you need to do is buy the 40mm can ring holder and you can lleave everything else.

Oh yeah, also, i think youll be fine with the motor youve got. the genesis doesnt create much drag when its running at full speed so should be ok with a x642 or 640

Try it with an x442..........should get you low 40's. That motor is a 4 poler and is better quality than the stock one for sure.
NEED PARALLEL CONNECTORS?? QUALITY 5.5MM, 8MM, 8 AND 10 AWG, GET THEM HERE: http://forums.offshoreelectrics.com/...est!&highlight=

Thanks, what timing would you be aiming for with that motor?

So ran this set up with a 445 and 2 minutes into it, not pushing it, it stops dead. No burnt smell red led lit on esc but nobody home. How is the quality on this Etti gear? I figured with a 72A motor and a 150A esc I would have loads of safety, nothing was hot you could touch motor and esc and they were warm at best. Running 4s 5000's x2 so should be plenty of feed and all wires are 10g and 8mm plugs so should be no issue there.... any ideas?
