Look in the tips and trick section for simple hatch locks.

Hockey shin pad tape, holds it down and seals out the water. It's what everybody does, some use electrical tape.
The hockey tape held the hatch on my MC in a blow over that was hard enough to pop the braces off the bottom of the hatch. Not a drop of water in the boat.
Don't know haw many times my SV has been upside down, once again tape sealed, still on the original blue esc and motor it never leaks.
If my boats upside down then who owns the one I thought I was driving the last two laps?

Yes that is what i do also, but there is a proper hatch seal out there some wherei think it is neoprene.

Not worth the money really, if you want to go to home depot and buy some 1/4x1/8" neoprene window sealing tape, you'll get 5 times as much for less money.
I use it on nitro boat radio boxes only because tape doesn't stick to oily boats, wish it did, it seals much better.

Its funny you mention this I was just looking into something for my pursuit. I have used the hockey tape and its a bit of a pain with the grooves in the back of the hatch. Not to mention if I want to get inside the hull frequently on one set of batteries to check GPS speeds and make adjustments I have to re tape the whole thing.

I'm playing with the idea of a silicone seal molded to the outline of the hatch and putting a latch on it. I just did that to my Rio and I'm going to try it out and see how it works before I do it to the pursuit.

            Any other ideas?

i have a pursuit and have seen other boats that use a sub hatch its very simple just glue wood under the inside lip lets say a 1/4" all the way around as a platform to lay your peice of plexis glass so it is even the opening. you can use hatch tape there and just use a 6-32 or 8-32 rod or screw or what ever you have to go through the boat hatch and use a knurled nut to sinch it down, that way it is far better protection of you hatch blowing off and getting water in the hull- let me see if i can find a pic

put down a layer of silicone, marine silicone can be bought at your local hardware store, put down some wax paper and put the hatch on until it is dry, then pull off the hatch and the wax paper should come off pretty easily.

I did a layer of silicone and used vaseline on the hatch of the Rio to keep it from sticking and it setup very well.

I'd like to do a sub-hatch but the problem with the pursuit is there is a hole in the front for the notch in the hatch to fit in that would still leak.
Plus, in that other thread the poster mentioned a self adhesive rubber that he put on the acrylic subhatch and I can't seem to find what that was exactly.
