    New Boat help

Hello all, Newbie here. Im usually into crawlers and all, but got bit by the boat scene via a Traxxas Villian. It is mostly stock with exception of some props ( I have no idea what they are, but gets on plane fast). I gotta say... I ready to try the boat thing. Im finishing my RCP Wreckluse and then selling it to get into boats... the delima... what to start with. From reading the forums Im between these:
    1. Aquacraft SuperVee 27
    2. Miss Geico
    3. Blackjack 26
Im looking for a used boat, as Im trying to invest as little as possible. I have 2s 30c lipos... and a DX3C. So what do I need to look for? Any help/advice I would appreciate. I live in NorCal, and would be at Lake Oroville, and Camp Far West mostly.

Welcome to OSE. from your list, I'd say the Miss Geico!

Geico or possibly the supervee. if you are running in rough water the mono may be a better choice, but the geico is definitely better on a flat lake.

I have a lot of lakes near by to choose from. I know they can be choppy. Thats why I am also considering saving a bit and going with a impulse 31. Is the Impulse 26 brushless junk? I have not run into threads about it.

If you have chop a fair amount of the time i'd go with a Vee Hull. The SV doesnt turn well at all and is a bit on the small side, the impulse 31 is a very good hull design and can take open throttle turns no problem. Of the 3 you listed, the Geico is by far the best.

monos usually handle chop better than cats, if they are the same size boat, a large cat will be able to handle chop.

yeah, the geico cat is the best choice for you I think, If you are running in 5"+ chop then a big mono would be the next choice
