    Help With HOR Racing!

Hello, I AM NEW TO THIS FOURM! I have been running Boats for quit some time and always purchased parts in the US. My son found some parts from HOR Racing and an order was placed after checking reviews. We received both paypal and store invoice and no other correspondence. Is this normal. We have tried to contact them several times and no response. We are going one 8 days and I am wondering if I should order somewhere else?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thank you,

Unfortunatly my expereince with them is pretty much the same.
When their site went down the other day , i was like, yeep theyve gone ...
I wouldnt worry about it at the moment, give it another week and see if your item arrives. Ive received everthing ive ordered from them. but some details about their products need a bit of clarifying and when you cannot contact them in regards to that part, or if its out of stock whether they are getting it or not is pretty annoying

I am aware. They use Hong Kong Post and ship two days after payment clears( or so they say). Its not the shipping time, its the lack of contact that worries me. $250.00 is not pocket change(at least not to me). I do have recoarse I used paypal but do not want to go that way. I was just looking for anyone with info on how they work, because how it is stated on there web site is not how it is going.
          Thank you,

Yeah, the problem ive had is that there isnt usually a boat seller who actually has all the stuff listed on their site in stock, some parts from HOR are simply half price compared to other shops, and when you read the dimensions of some parts they are exactly the same. Their shipping is usually fairly cheap too. I got some small parts like a collet and some teflon washers and received them in 7 days

Did you send them an email including the site invoice and paypal receipt followed by your request for shipment notification?

I ordered some small parts with the same issues you describe. I submitted a kind email as stated above, questioning that there may have been a website glitch that caused my order to be overlooked. I was replied within a few days with an apology and shipment notification. All parts arrived no problem.

He's pretty bad at communications, but your order is most probably on its way. I would wait at least 30 days and then do a PP claim if you don't receive anything.

What bothers me about Johnny Cheung is that he answers pretty quickly if you ask information about items BEFORE you buy anything.

But after you paid... He's gone.

I ordered a while ago, didn't get anything to say the order was even finished processing. About two weeks later I emailed to ask what was up, no response. I went home to find the package there though. It was missing the cooling jacket (which was in the order details), and still haven't been able to get them to answer an emails, MONTHS later. I gave up since it's only $10, but I don't think I'll order from them again since they can't even return an email.

Yes, when I placed my order last year I got only half of it, I placed a dispute with PP regarding the missing item and got my money back.

Long story short: if something is missing from your package open a dispute with PP right away for a partial refund, because you're not going to hear from him and you will not get the item.

It's unfortunate, but I guess he likes to conduct business this way.

It is because he does not speak English. and I guess he does not understand the email. I also guess it is easiest for him just to not answer!

But if that was the case, why is he so quick to answer questions before you buy anything? And with perfectly formed answers?

Also, the kind of questions I was asking him were: "Hello John, was the engine shipped? Thank you."

You'll have to admit that it's not overly complicated to answer yes or no.

IMO he is just too busy and once he gets the money he doesn't care anymore. I'm not saying he is dishonest but he could hire some kid that speaks English and employ him as CSR.

Well I was just speaking in general about the Asian vendors. It had been my feeling with the dealing I have had with all of them. Sure there may be exceptions but just in general. I do not want to be labeled as a bigot or be one.
