    fiegao motors

i have been looking at the fiegao 8s motor that was suggested by Fluid and was just wondering what the differance is between the 8s, 8L, and 8XL? Also a loaded question, How fast under perfect conditions would a motor like this push a 22 in. long outrigger? im not racing just want a ceal fast boat. any help? thanks in advance.

The L and XL designate the lengths. To address your speed question. There are to many factors other than type and length of a Hull. For instance the kv rating of the motor, prop size and voltage you are applying to your power system. I can add that I have used the motors in question many times with no failures. For your application an s-sized motor would be my choice as the L and XL are more suitable for larger lower rpm setups..

thanks for the info. i understand what your saying on how it would perform. im prob. going to regret trying to build from scratch but i like to do things out of my head and that could be bad! id like to get in the 55 MPH range ive done rc cars. trucks, and im still into planes but have very little knolage on boats. thanks for the post and anyone else that would like to chime in that would be great
