Aluminum rails are gonna be really heavy! What is your setup going to be?

Whatever you do don't use balsa for motor rails, that will be way too weak and will fail in a hard crash. As far as aluminum rails, a few extra ounces of weight will do nothing to the performance of the boat, while it will give higher reliability in the event of a crash. If you're scared of aluminum, then use 3/16" plywood from the LHS.

              hi there

weight will depend on thickness and all cut that can be done
but using a 0,078 sheet ....weight will be almost nothing.

my main problem is that my CNC can not go over 8 / 9" length

I try to keep conductive materials to a minimum in my electric boats.

WOOD is GOOD. Do what Fluid says.

                      please listen to Nautiboyz.
Keep conductive material to a MINMUM inside the hull.

and 3/16" ply is fine for the stringers.
1/4 and up adds more weight.
just take you time and do a nice neat job of installing them. (don't over do it with epoxy as it only adds weight.)

I have a used 33DF that I will be installing stringers in and the thickest I will use is 3/16" ply.

And you don't have to stay at 1 1/4" tall all the way on them as well. you can start out at maybe 1/2 inch, then go to what ever heighth you need
for your mount, then decrease it back to 1/2 at the transom.

What ever material you use. After you epoxy the stringers in, get some 1" or 1 1/2" fiberglass cloth tape and glass those stringers in. They will never come off in a flip or stuff. I only glass the inboard side of the rails and then lay a bead of expoxy down the outboard sides where the rail meets the hull.
