    genesis help

i bought a genesis from another member and it has a cc1518 hk180esc on 6s. The boat leans hard to the right up to 1/3 throttle and evens out, is this normal? Also anything over 1/2 throttle the boat wants to rock side to side (one sponson out of water then the other) if i try to keep in going in a straight line but if i let go of the wheel the boat will make a gradual right turn but will run smooth under wot any help would be great

Sounds good. FYI, 6s is a lot of rpm with a 1800kv motor. 5s would be better. Where is the cg in relation to the sponson transoms?

You need to make sure your blades are very sharp. Might try raising the strut another 2mm at a time.

Also, make sure the hull has no hull deformations like teeters on a level surface. That is a blade with a bunch of pitch. You might want to go with a X442 or 445 and get off the 6 series. The hull is very narrow as well. Also make sure your rudder is very straight...plumb with the hull. Use a square on a bar counter and make a line then slide the boat hull up and see if the rudder is really true up and down.

ya , check rudder. u can try different props but mine runs BEST with X642 but you have a different motor. All about trial and error. Bbos set that boat up using mine as a template but with different power it could need adjusting. I know the strut was far up, try dropping it a little. If you havent yet, grease the flexshaft too.

The Genesis will always lean under acceleration cuz its so narrow..............

What about at top speed it sort of twists to the right when it porpoises. Like it's having a twisting force through the long Axis horizontally not bilaterally. It's a different twist then when accelerating which is clearly prop torque. I'm talking at wide open a different twist happens.
