    Is Fine Design any good?

I've been trying to get a hold of someone for a couple days. Are they just never there or is it an odd occurance. Left a message to have them call me on monday(message left on sunday) called monday no answer. called today no answer and message machine is FULL. Tried to e-mail them and what the @#*% thier e-mail wont accept hotmail accounts. What gives. Are they shady or good? Not to be rude but,ONLY opinions from first hand experience please, as i dont want a bunch of bashers that don't know what they are talking about trying to ruin someones rep. I wish OSE had the boat i'm after as I'd prefer to use them as I love this site.

Chris and fine design are not shady they are not quite as on the ball as Steve is, he does lack a bit in the area of good comunication, However all of my dealings with them have been pretty posative. If he has what you need in stock you will get it in a short time frame. Keep trying the phone,I think he is closed on sat,sun and mondays. My advice would be to try and talk to someone and make sure he has the item you want on hand before ordering it. If he is out of stock it may be a while before you receive it.

I've dealt with them in the past. I have bought a number of items from them. They will call you, eventually. I don't think they work on Mondays. I've experienced the answering machine being full on Tuesdays. They do get a little backed up. Try calling them again. Chris will usually answer.

Thank you Hydromaniac, thats all I needed to know. Glad to hear they are OK. there are alot of shady people out there to make a buck and I have a Knack for finding them. Just a little leary now I guess and I trust the judgement of this forums members highly.

Eyekandyboats TRUST ME I WANT TO ORDER FROM OSE. they just dont have the micro drifter i'm after. I emailed steven to see if he can get it as i want to support his business. And I'm a newbie so I'll be alert. Only new to boats that is, so he might have a time getting me hook ,line, and sinker! Just hook and line maybe! LOL!

It's all a matter of opinion. For every unhappy person with a business there are many more satisfied customers.

I have bought several LARGE motors and speed controllers from Chris. He is a bit slow to reply sometimes, but othewise no problems. I just got a phone message from him today on an order I'm expecting. He did mention that they have been in the process of moving , so there is a bit of dis-organization right now.

Steve at OSE is the best at communication of the few places I deal with.

By the way Steve, when are those damm HV Hydras going to be in ????

called a couple more times and you are right the machine on the last call finally said something about a move.sorry fine design,i'm impatient & well, BBY was more than happy to answer the phone and give me quote on a rtr setup. So heres what I got planned BBY Micro Cat, Hydra 240, I just wanted a versatile controller for use in other stuff later (think i'll have a little room to play with on this setup),NEU 1115 1/2y 6700kv,BBY hardware and he's going to build it (hey I want it to run right). I'll build a drifter if they call me and are gonna get them in anytime soon. Oh and I'm gettin the Carbon hull. more is better right.I'm also gonna use one of my airtronics 2.4ghz receivers in it with my M8

nice, but that hydra 240 will sink your micro cat. . . .
i had one along with hydra's . . . i ran a CC80 in mine and i found the controller to be still to large!
                      i'd re think that

same foot print. but i guess it will work for you
if you can a CC80 would work the best, but be sure it will suite your setup

Used them one time. Good and bad. Good stuff, good prices, good conversation and fast shipping once I finally got them. Gave them a Ccard, pefectly good, 2 days later still no charge. They said it was no good but never called me? No paypal which is a PIA. On the other hand gave me free shipping. So like I said, good and bad.
