    4s0p or 4s1p???

Could you guys clear this up for me??? If you are running (1) 4 cell battery pack, is it 4S0P or 4S1P??? If P stands for Parallel VS Pack, a single 4 cell battery pack could NOT have anything in parallel. Gotta have at least two ?S battery packs to be in parallel. Right??? JIM

I think a 4s0P is better known as the power plant for a SAILBOAT.....

Rumdog: If you are right the P must mean PACK not PARALLEL. sanyijr: Thats funny. JIM

s.....p, the s makes no sense, and the p, well as long as you understand the meaning. I'm not sure what country spells cells with an s though.

You dont annotate anything if its one pack. A 4S pack is just that. 4S. Not 1P attatched to it. 4S2P is of course two 4S packs in parallel and so one 3P, 4P.

Guys the numbers are just multipliers that describe the connections, when you have a 1 cell battery you don't connect anything in series but you still call it a 1S battery (and you could say 1S1P).

              4S1P is still a valid to describe 4 cells in series x 1 parallel connections = 4 x 1 = 4 cells total.

4S2P = 8 cells total and so on...

m4a1usr: we don't need to specify 1P because it's implied, but I wouldn't say that is incorrect to use 4S1P.

rumdog: S stands for series/serial, not cell

I'm glad to see there is still a diference of opinion here. I buy the S=series definition, but don't see why you would use "P" in describing a single pack of cells in series. JIM
