    Electrified 20" mono set up

Still trying to find an inexpensive setup for the 4 boats I am building with the kids. Issue has been an affordable ESC that will take the amps. Just read the JAE Mini Sprint thread and the kit that will be offered by Zippkits.

Will this work in the boat?

ESC – zippkit 50 Amp Brushless Motor Controller
    Motor - Hobby King TR22234-4400……$12.00
    Battery – Turnigy 2200-2s-25C…………$10.00

Can I increase the battery to 5000 maH for longer run times? I will be cooling the motor with water.

Anybody know if this ESC is BEC?

I don't know if the ESC is BEC. As for batteries, I have the Turnigy 2200 2s batteries in my Electrified. To extend run time I hooked two 2S 2200s in parallel. The boat is small and the batteries straddle the motor for better side to side balance. The boat should really move along with that motor.

What is the difference between running two 2200 maH 2S 25C batteries in parallel and 1 4400 maH 2S 25C battery?

I am still trying to understand this stuff. I would think they would have the same run time and voltage and amp output.

There is no difference other than size. The 4400 mah pack will likely be double the length of the 2200. With 2x 2200 packs, you can stick them side by side, or on top of one another if space is an issue.
