Repair or new hull? ABS OM26 bby

I have an Oval master 26 made by BBY that I ran into a seawall with. Is it possible to repair it or do I need to get a new hull? Only downside of a new hull is would take 2-4 weeks and we have weekly races that might be over by then. Does anybody have any tips for repairing an ABS hull?

    Thanks

This may sound like sarcasm or a joke, but I would try this stuff, it may look ugly, but it should be water tight.

Get some PLASTRUCT sheets from the hobby shop, Thickest they have. Cut out pieces that can fit in the openings that are too large to fill with the stuff above. Scuff the inside of the new patch and area around it with sandpaper. Put down some wax paper on the work surface and fiberglass some cloth to the inside the hull to hold the patch. When it's dry, be sure it's not going to just fall out when tapped or hit. When you're comfortable with the patch, Use CA on the outside to hold the other cracks as closed as you can, then spray that stuff and paint if you have time. Be sure to tub test for leaks and use PLENTY of float foam before running.

After your race, get a new hull from Randy @ BBY

I would consider getting one of his hulls in fiberglass much easier to fix!!!

I was thinking carbon fiber, would that be repairable?

Absolutely is.. Just takes a little more patience to repair when working with CF. Some would disagree with me but from my experience laying up the inside of myhull with Carbon and just recently fixing my boat using fiberglass. The fiberglass was much easier to work with.

there is some low expanding foam at the hardware store for windows and doors, i'll get the name, i am sure you could fill the entire front of the hull all the way back to the to the front cowl opening- maybe put some tape around it so it dosent come apart anymore because its weakened. then cut back as far as you want of the nose and top deck and underneath the foam should give you a rough shape of the hull for you to build off of. now i have never attemped this but i would give it a shot if in a pinch to finish out the racing season
