1717 or 1520

Hi guys just ordered one of the flood hulls from Aeromarine laminates, what i was wondering is which motor to run ? i have already have purchased both motors. Also does anyone know what motor mount will work ?

My goal is too have good speeds in the high 50's

Thanks which motor do you think would work the best and give the higher top speed ?

both motors will get in the 50's like you wanted i think then its a matter which will do it eaiser, i only own a 1520 and am about to pull the trigger in a 34" cat on 5s i think i should get 50 or close to and in an MM you should be able to break into the 60's with the smaller hull, there is a thread in the boat building section of someone using a 1717 in an MM

Bushless, I use the lower motor mount from fightercat that skellyo listed there.
works great.

1520 on 6s with an X445 to start and you'll be happy.

1717 is wasted energy in that boat. Way too much power.
