That setup is a recipe for destruction. I'm assuming you're running in series for 6s? That setup on 4s should get you well into the fifties.

Something isnt correct. that setup should run about 60-70mph for a few seconds before something blows up.

hi there thanks for the reply

what areas should i be looking at then as to why it may be underperforming ?

goes slower than the dr 26 that i have had going at 56 kmh

what sort of speed do the 29 run at on 4s ?

              thanks

Laddy, your original setup as has been stated is a recipe for disaster, now you are asking for help on 4S...were you running in parallel or in series in the original setup?
I have a Delta 29 that runs on 4S power and speed is not my concern...stability...run time...motor and electronic safety are my priorities, and yes it goes faster than 56 kmh

was running the original setup in series

noticed other users are achieving better results with less batteries
so i thought maybe it would be better to start lower down the voltage range and improve the handling of the boat
to try and figure out where i might be going wrong with my setup.

OK, but that original setup would then have been a bit of the mark.....did you purchase this boat used with existing motor and drivetrain? There is something wrong in your setup. Tell us what batteries and hardware are now used or will be used in the future.

Unlimited, post some pictures of your setup and it may help to diagnose any issues. As others have said, drop back to 4S, with at least 5,000 mAh capacity. An X442 should be plenty, or an X440/3. Check your speed control is giving you full power, and also check what timing you're running.

A Seaking 180 will be plenty for that setup if you wish to change, but check it will fit in the hull (they're pretty bulky).

I see you're in Queensland - which part? I'm on the northside of Brisbane and a member of 2 electric clubs. So there's plenty of help available if you're in the area.

                      Cheers,
                      Scott

                            Martin,
                            I have a DF 29 and with a feigao 8xl , m445 prop and 4s lipo, it was running in the 70kms,
Set your centre of gravity or balance point 260mm from the back of the transom, If the boat runs to loose/wild move your batteries forward a tad or if it is to wet/flat move them back a tad. Once you have a good running position worked out mark where the batties sit for future runs.
Hows ur strut set? Mine runs parallel with the bottom of the hull. The trailing edge of my trim tabs are level with the transom. Also try angling the turn fins up more, they might be dragging in the water to much.
Try these adjustments out on a 4s lipo and either a m442 or x440/3 prop like Scott suggested, if you still think you have speed problems then it might be a motor, speedy or battery problem.
Good luck and keep us posted.
                            Heath
