Hi!
So, tomorrow I'll try out my lastest (but not greatest) off shore:esque 30" build containing of bits & pieces, spare parts and what not. I'm gonna use a Turnigy 180 esc, a KB 3674 with kv 2700 - 2800 on 3s and start out with a 38 mm plastic prop and watch temperatures. The motor gets warm just by being hooked up and doing a few 2 second burst, which gets me a bit worried. The 180 esc defaults at 15 degrees timing but I've chaged that to 3.75 (haven't checked temepratures after that) .... and my question is what timing/setting would be best? I know this is a pretty hot motor for boating but I got it for almost no money at all and I'd like to try it out. I'm happy if I get 30-35 mph out of it. So, 0 timing, 3.75 or 7.5? What would you do?
