a little help with my hydromite please

I would like some input on some cheap ebay stuff for the hydromite
    what do you guys think
    Item number: 260207479263 http://cgi.ebay.com/2x-15C-11-1v-150...QQcmdZViewItem
    3-Cell 15C 11.1v 1500mAh Li-Po Battery
    Item number: 260207155111 http://cgi.ebay.com/1700-Outrunner-B...QQcmdZViewItem
    1700 Outrunner Brushless Motor + 30A ESC

this stuff is really cheap and it is the only way I can afford to get the boat running right now. is it worth a go or should I wait??
The Manx has been sitting dormant, but I think I finally have my motivation back. I hope to see it float soon.

not sure at all about the outrunner that's why I'm asking. I'm still new to brushless and lipo this stuff was not around when I was younger.

Here is a link to check out for info on inexpensive motor & esc like you are looking at.
Our pond at Santee Lakes is FE friendly; but, as some of you know from "the Red Board", I complain a lot about the size of the pond. With a three-ton rock sticking out of the easterly third and four bridge piers running through the middle, it does not leave a whole lot of room for bigger...

1st do your research for what ya need then research the parts. Sme guys are running outrunners but i am the last to say anything about set ups
personally i like the swapshops It is a bit more personal, If used you can get a history of the item ebay not so much. Now new items if it is from a reputable vender go for it..... Not so much for info about the items but more about shopping for them. Dave
Twin cat 9xl,... 29 titan 8xl,....37 in mono kb48 8xl.... 42 in twin elc cat project... 42 in gasser cat 260 modded zenoh''' planes and trucks....

well this is what I went with (I will worry about a 2s lipo later) I liked what I saw for that Santee spec hydro seems like a great starter class for guy/gals on a tight budget. I'll let you know how it works out when I get my goodies and install them.

Hey Avanti, for future referance, UH.com has some cheap, nicer I guess lipo batteries. They sell them under that zippy lipo name. Seems like they had the smaller ones like this with 20-25-30c continuous discharge rates. Might be a little nicer than some ebay packs, but who knows. just thaught you may like to check them out. seeya.

the motor and esc was under 30 bucks
and the battery was like 15

should hold me over till I can get some extra cash flow going.
