    fan on NEU 1527

    2 NEU 1527 on c5000 44" Cat


    Does any one know the correct OP temp on these motors?? ALSO i am to try run them with fans any not water cooled , any one try this before or know how big the fan need to be or rating???

    I've been running a 1527 in a 1/8 scale Miss U.S. with a Castle cooling fan for about a year. Temps are between 115-125

      Does any one know the correct OP temp on these motors??
      There is no "correct" operating temperature, but I like to keep my motor temps below 150*F. The Neus will take more (180*F+) without magnet damage, but if they get that hot there is something wrong. Either the prop is too big, the boat is running too wet, or you're trying to run for too long.
