Aquacrfat 60amp ESC on 3s??

I am wondering can this esc be run on 3s?

Specs say:
Input Voltage: 12-14 NiMh 4 Cell Lipo (8-20V inout w/o BEC)

bec has nothing to do with lvc. Two completely different things.

Anything less then 4s the lvc will be triggered.

The programing in the esc is only set to recognize 4s i would imagine, so 3s would be below the lvc threshold.

Just makes me wonder why they put the 8-20 in the specs.

Diesel while I have your attention I know you helped chud out with his esc.
The one I'm getting will not arm correctly is this because of a bad cap?
I have been trying to read about the cap issue but have not found to much info.
I know how to do it I'm just wondering if it will fix the issue.
Esc runs fine with separate receiver pack but without it won't arm correctly.

If it has no bec then that's why it won't arm without a rx pack.

It has a BEC but won't work while its connected.
If you unplug it then you can power it with a separate receiver pack and it runs fine.

is it an internal or external bec? Sounds like the bec is possibly toast. I would pick up a $5 turnigy external bec and run it with that.

It has an internal one but from what I have read these esc have had some issues with the caps that causes some issues with them and people have added xtra caps to them and fixed the problem.

I am not sure if the issue the one I am getting is the same or different problem.

I planned to run it with an external BEC but would be nice if I didn't have to and could fix it if possible.

Oh I see. Well actually an external bec is a good thing, it takes away heat from the esc.
