    Scorpion motor Wires

Anyone have any experience cutting motors shorter and then soldering on bullet connectorson the large Scorpion Motors ? . Im ' building a 7.5 size FE out board conversion and the motor wires are very stiff.

    Thanks

i wouldn't recommend cutting the wires because the length is supposedly imparitice to the way the motor works but that's just my slightly educated thought!!
too much power not in the FE racing dictionary

The problem is not the length of the wires - they are not a "tuned" length - but the coating on them. The wires exiting most BL motors are the windings so each strand is coated. On most BL motors (I am not positive on the Scorpions, can't tell on mine) if you cut the wires shorter you will not be able to solder a connector back on. To do that you'll have to remove all the coating on each individual wire strand, usually by scraping. That's 'way more work than I am willing to do.
