Are you going to race? oval or saw?
do you have friends to run with?
how fast do you want to go?

vee bottom? tunnel? cat? hydro? rigger?

the questions are endless, like Doby said take a look in the build forum to get an idea as to what is out there. also the ose store has anything you need browse around.
The Manx has been sitting dormant, but I think I finally have my motivation back. I hope to see it float soon.

These Guys are spot on! There are a lot of questions answered here! I think you need to decide on what style hull!

Many of us prefer Catamarans(my favorite) some like Hydros,Monos .. etc....

Do a search for R/C boat hulls you could spend a couple of days looking!

        Just remember speed is money!!!!

I only have one question. What are your expectations? If you want a 50mph boat that will run for 30 minutes electric is not going to do it. All really fast boats have a relatively short run time. Even 5 to 7 minutes is almost stretching it. Money is always factor. The bigger the boat the larger the investment. So I revert to line one and we can start @ the beginning :).

I have decided on building up this style hull http://www.offshoreelectrics.com/pro...rod=df-delta25
I want to see hopefully 30mph.
My only problem is the driveline. Im just confused on that aspect. What would yall reccomend for this hull? And maybe tell me the differences and how it works.

a 29" mono is not the same as a 25". that 800 series motor would prolly sink the df25(when at rest, if your tape wasn't good). I went with a feigao 540 6L on a 7.4v system.
Still waiting for my boat to come in.it came in
