Pretty much any RTR brushless boat will hang, depending on water conditions. Get a Aquacraft Motley Crew and you'll beat him up pretty bad with a prop upgrade.

I thought the ul-1 was 1/16, he might want something bigger, a 1/16 will die in chop a 1/8 can handle, especially with the extra weight of a gas motor.

with upgrades yes, I do not know the stock setup.
wth an octura (metal) you would have to balance and sharpen it, do you have the tools and skills necessary to do that?

that is a good tutorial on balncing, I reccomend reading two or three tutorials so you know if one person is just making it up.

I am yet to own this balancer, but I have seen multiple good reviews and never a bad one.

It's easy to sharpen and balance props but please read about the health hazards associated with beryllium, this is not a material you want to inhale any of!
Never use a power tool on a prop unless you have a method of controlling the dust.
I do all my prop work with files and sandpaper with either oil or water to control the dust.
Use a good respirator with a particulate filter, don't need carbon.
As long as you follow a few basic safety rules there is minimal hazard.
Remember once the dust has spread through your house everybody in the house gets to inhale it not just you!
If my boats upside down then who owns the one I thought I was driving the last two laps?
