If it is a SpeedMaster strut and you aren't using teflon, then all the way through. It depends on the strut design, not on the boat.

No teflon, 1/4" brass, and I would say it goes about 1" inside the Speedmaster Strut. Any issues you can see here Jay? thanks for your help

when you look down the strut hole, if you do not see anything inside of it, the brass tube is supposed to go all the way thur it.
you will more than likely have to do a bit of sanding on the tube to get it to slide down inside the strut.

I just bought a 3/16 strut setup from LZRC on ebay and the stuffing tube is the same diameeter as the strut... FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFffff
the stuffing tube can fit into that, but not sure if im now going to bother with putting the setup in the boat... really starting to think ill just stick with the 4mm now....

          this is what i got

thinking its going to be a fairly easy install, just using the stuffing tube and the strut...IMAsG0083.jpg

what type of hull is it mono or cat, mono wont matter as much but if it a cat you want that supported you step up the next size brass and maybe one more to slide over the end of the strut then use a large piece of heat shrink to make it look better and hold tight

looks like you are using teflon push the teflon though into the strut that should be enough support for such a small gap then use some heat shrink to cover
