Miss G and 180 amp esc

Well I thought id venture out and get the Hobby Wing "SeaKing" 180 Amp ESC for my MG. The question I have on stock motor can I run 2 3s lipos on it and the second ? is if that is possible can I run higher? I was running everything stock with 5s and a 42X55 prop was getting about 42 mph. The third ? is I ordered the X642 / X445 and was wondering either of these props on 6s or higher can i hit 55?

the seaking has a 6S max, I personally would never push an esc to its limits, if you get a high voltage ESC, you can run 6S and more
I'm not sure the stock motor will be up to the task on 6S+

So going from the stock MG 45 amp running 5s , you are telling me a 180 amp can only run 6s?

yes, amps and voltage are not related, or at least not in this situation. Most ESC's are either Low voltage 2S-6S or High voltage 4S to 12S
you can find a High voltage 180 amp esc, then you would be able to run 6S or more.
I still don't recommend it on the stock motor, the site reccomends to run it on 2S, you are tripling the voltage and stressing your components (you have the 29", right?)

Miss Geico 30` ??? I think.... I figured a 100.00 esc would do the job, i mean i can only get the MG so fast before explosion right?
I will upgrade motor later on, if i can only run 6s what is the point in upgrading the motor though?

I'm no guru, but the stock esc on Miss Geico can take 5s if you run a receiver pack and unplug the red wire from the esc. I've run 6s on the stock motor with a prather 215 prop and the 180 esc.All god, but for how long I don't know. I smoked mine on 5s and a big prop(prather 230)
But 5s on stock motor with the m445 ore the 642 prop are tested and safe, all over the proboat tread. And it should be fast enough for the most of us. Running 6s should be fine with the right prop ,but I would say it is for show of once and a while only, how long the motor holds if you only push it with 6s all day, I cant' tell you.
