540l is too small for your setup. stick with something like a Leopard 4074 2200kv if you want something in the 100$ price range. What controller are you running?Comment

No go with that motor you selected. Not a good choice, to small for the hull. A lower kv xl motor can work but there are better motor options then the L and xl Feigao's. What are your speed expectations? That would determine which motor will work best for you.Comment

No one bothered to ask what voltage you intend to run - that determines the Kv you need. An "L" sized motor is too small, although depending on your use a Feigao XL may work fine. Too many seem to forget that we used those motors in hulls this size with success if we were looking for sport setups. For max performance a 40mm 4-pole motor would probably work better.

What esc are you running? I just got an apparition (32 inch cat) and looking to beef it up in a similar way. Looking for 45 possibly 50 on 4s with a 125 amp esc. I'm looking at the tacon 4074 2150kv or the tacon 3674 1900kv.LST XXL-4074 Taco, Slash 4x4-3660 Taco, Appparition-3674 TacoComment

Make-a-wake just posted on another thread that he was running 120 amp esc with a 4074 2200kv on a 32 inch pursuit with a x442 prop and it held up. Temps around 125 on the esc... I think the 125 I'm going to use should hang with either motor I'm looking at. I'm leaning more towards the 3674 1900kv tacon now.LST XXL-4074 Taco, Slash 4x4-3660 Taco, Appparition-3674 TacoComment
