    Neu 1515 1Y Equivalent

Hi. Looks like my Neu screwed the pooch. Could someone please suggest a Leopard motor (or other brand sold at ose) with equivalent size/performance as the 1515 1Y.....or at least comparable. Thanks!

Leopard 4082 1500 or 1600kv. Both run great.

        Nevermind, you want a 4s motor. Go with a 4074 2200kv or the 4082 2200kv.

Buy a leopard and send the Neu in for repair. That way you have something similar to run until you get the Neu back.

Detox - motor wires burned thru insulation and shorted on can (at least that's what it looks like).

Larry - Thanks. I will give one of those a try.

Jeeps - No doubt. I will definitey send it back for rework. Its a great motor!

You can buy a CC/Neu 1515 1Y for $110. Brand new. I agree a Neu is a Neu. No other will be its equivalent. If you need a new stator its going to be about $120 from Neu. At least thats what the last one cost me. Google 3908 motor on Ebay. Not a green Castle. Its a black can. But its a CC/Neu. And its better then any Leopard for quality. BTW you can get a Tacon 4074 2150 kv for $49 shipped right now. Man thats cheap!

Thanks John. Looks like a good deal on ebay. As for the Tacon, I was a little late...... the vultures were out again.

Which motor are you referring to? Both the 3908 and CC/Neu 1515 use the same size cooling can. The Tacon uses the same cooling can any 4074 uses.
