1/8th Sport/Race Hydro?

This is something I am looking @ for next fall. This year I kinda got carried away with picking up allot of stuff I thought I wanted to run and decided not to. After the summer I want to start a single project and invest every penny I get during my fall/winter build season.

Ok I will get the first and most obvious necessity out of the way $$$$.$$

That being said I would like to spend money wisely on a project like this and not buy components that would be considered over kill or with to much headroom.

Hulls??? Wood or glass?
Is it possible to pick up a nitro or gas hull and convert it?
Glass??? Who makes a decent glass hull for FE? I know there a few manufactures but I really don’t know what I’m looking for.

Power systems??
What manufacture, size & wind motor??? If I had a clue on this subject I would be able to figure out the ESC.

Last but not least Batteries 5,6,8 or 10s?

I’m sure some guys think I should know all this but I really don’t. This idea and potential investment is the largest I have considered yet and if I take it on I will have no margin for error.

Rob the further I get into it 10th scale looks to be a better fit for me. I will wind up shoping for a rigged hull when the time comes. The Jolly won't get sold. Didnt work out to good for me last time I tried.
