Twin mono with non counter rotating prop?

    Hi guys

I have couple of cool Etti 1/8 strut that I would like to use to build a twin mono (25-27 inches range).

My question is whether that would work with the prop rotating in the same direction?

I have read that there are likely issues with Catamaran because the prop are too far apart. But what about with a mono with the props pretty close? Anybody done that?

Counter rotating prop is not really an option for me at this stage as I have already bought the flex cable and counter rotating props of that size are very limited.......

I'm not a racer and the project is just for fun boating with my mates.......

    Thanks

    JC

How do you plan on cramming all that stuff including batteries into a boat just a bit over 6 inches wide and still get the CG right?
Would be cheaper and run better on a single motor.
If my boats upside down then who owns the one I thought I was driving the last two laps?

There is absolutely NO problem running twins in a catamaran.
I'd think props spinning the same direction in a mono would cause some handling issues.

          ditto.
make sure your course rotates in a clockwise direction.....

Did anyone even thing about torque role with x2 props going in the same directions?
just thinking from what I read on this site

two props pushing would create a semi- solid base, and torque roll shouldnt be a problem.
no rudder would be needed if you were running in a circle.

                  which part?
I don't think the torque roll would be as bad as you would imagine.

I want 2 Oz of whatever you're on....

"No torque roll.. creates a semi-solid base ..". you're quoting extracts from setiup sheets for CR props .... a mono will yaw drastically..
                    No rudder .. seriously ?
A long rudder may be the only solution to prop steer and yaw ....

You can PM re postal for those 2 Oz.

                        @dasboata.
Yes, larger hulls display less yaw...
Due to increased cantilever mass ( the weight spread from side2side compared total mass)
The application here is to a 25ish" hull.

Id build it, and budget for a rev cable, and prop for 'ron.

Now I'm having second thoughts about the twin mono project.....

I remember there was a guy who did a twin Supervee 27 thread about 2-3 years ago on OSE but I can't find it anymore....... Anybody know how to look for it?

you don't need a rudder because you would be turning constantly with all that yaw.
2oz of paint thinner, lead fumes, and whatever that stuff was on the floor coming right up
