    Hardware help

I was running the hydro today on 4S and here is what happened. Just wondering if anyone knows wht brand this is and if I can just buy the strut bracket or whatever its called for a 3/16 shaft and .130 cable? The hull is classic hydro 24 inches. Thanks

Looks like a Ray Fuller strut to me. Yes you can buy just the strut. I would be finding out what happened. These are very strong...you either hit something or something else....sucks worse to bend a nice prop up.

    Got to http://www.drcwebservices.com/ffe/

and find it in the hardware area.

I had that happen one time on my Gas cat and the cause was a way out of balance prop.

just rev the motor fast while the boat is in your hand. . . . if it vibrates then its out of balance. LOL

Too late now. Its my dads so of course it had to break while I was drivin it. Like I said he swore it was in balance before I destroyed it. LOL

You did have a strike correct? Are you 100% sure??? If that happened with out striking somthing submerged I'd send it back to be replaced. Good HW isent cheap & that kinda failure is BS man.

That prop has already been worked...from the pic anyway. No way would it be that far out. You hit something.

Look for marks in the front of the strut or bottom...something should tell the tale.

                        Struts are $20ish.

Jeff thats what I was thinking too but there are no marks anywhere except on the top rear where the prop flew up on the cable and hit the hull. It had to hit something but I made about 5 passes through the same spot and nothing hit. So I dont know. I'll just get another one and try again.
