I will try to send you some pics.

I set up the boat with a twin brushlesss ducted fan in its first life. I converted it to a single prop drive in its second life with a small brushless outrunner. Now entering its third life I will probably do a combo just for the heck of it.

It may take a day or two from pics...any special views?

Joe, do you still have the other canards you've owned? I'm really interested in profile pictures, AOA measurements and thickness of wing. I'd also like measurements of width of the ride pads. Also a picture from the back, at surface of the table and the quarter and away shot.

Pics attached. The stainless rulers are `12" to give you a bit of scale.

The next post, since there is a 5 pic max upload limit, will include more pics plus my previous dual ducted fan unit I had on it. The motors turned close to 40K rpm and the sound was amazing. I will send more pics of my other canards also in following posts. Best, Joe

Great pics Joe! Can you tell me, on the inside edges of the sponsons, does it feature a toe-in in the front? If so, what's the difference in measurement? Let me know if this doesn't make sense.

Also, can I have another transom shot without the ruler? I'm looking specifically at the airfoil over the top and the bottom of the wing section between the tub and the sponsons.

The sponson on the Firefox is 1.9" wide at the front. In the rear the actual ride pad is 1.0 ". Thus the outside of the sponson, (0.9" wide), has a step-down of about 1/16th inch.

Here is a comparison with a white canard I have. I am experimenting with some submerged brushless, oil-filled motors I designed. You can see the test installation on this white canard.

No toe-in or toe-out. The exact distance is 220 mm both front and back between the points you indicated.

You have a good memory. Pics attached. This project was primarily to evaluate the thrust of the large jet drive with various brushless inrunner and outrunner motors. I built a easy-mount aluminum motor plate so that my brushless beasts could be changed in a few minutes. I was looking for max thrust. The jet drive is not very realistic for a canard however it proved a perfect platform for thrust testing.
