    Has anyone seen this outrunner?

just helping a friend, I know it's a long shot but I thought I would try.

Have you ever seen an outrunner like this? I'm trying to find out the brand/type/specs:

I think I have seen this before. It appears to be in the old Ripper line. I'll see if I can find out some details. I only owned one of these type motors before, but it did look very similar in appearance. I'll try to find you a link.

Edit: I can't find the original line, but you can see some of the similarities with many of their current motors found here: http://www.infinity-hobby.com/main/i...hp?cPath=36_40 I'll see if I have some old specs on my home computer.

I'm not finding old specs, but have another machine to check, then some external drives.

It doesn't look like the Mile High RC motor I have. If it is, then it would be a different version than I've seen.

Problem is, there is nothing on it, no sticker, no numbers, zero!

Is there a benefit of an outrunner vs a regular motor? What application would it be more beneficial to have an outrunner?

An outrunner generally has more power, it can spin a bigger prop. This is not an extreme, but the exact same motor in an outrunner and inrunner (this isn't really possible, but you know what I mean) the outrunner will be a faster setup because of a bigger prop.

I think a good description of the difference is, the outrunner has more torque, but a longer can inrunner can potentially have even more torque. Given the same power and the same weight motor, then the outrunner will have more torque, but often can't handle high amps. I think they're just different. LOL

No luck on the files, but still looking.
