    1518 measurement?

Measurement on a 1518 from the front of the can to the lip of the wire grommet. Basically the spread for a motor mount. The distance in mm from farthest point on the can that a clamp will seat and the front of the motor.

The 1520 is 78mm, so assuming the 1520 is 74.5mm from the grommet to the nose, but want to be sure.

1518, if you have a 1520 mount there (which you should) See if the 1518 will fit in it.

          Didn't know you had a 1518.
          =)

Ben, I was sort of confused here.
            I do not have a 1518 I do have the 1520's and a 1515.
My 1520 has the water jacket for the 1518 on it and mounted in one of your mounts.
            fits perfect.

Oh, cool. That I need to know too for certain. I have a 1518 cooling can coming for the 1520 in the Genesis build.

              Fun stuff for sure.

Now... I need to find out if the 1518 fits using a 1515 cooling can. I think it does, but just barely.

I have the 1518 cooling can mounted with ONE (1) grove showing at the front end of the motor
so that the rear clamp can be mounted to the motor.

naturally you have to put the mounting ring on first then install the cooling can. :-)

Ben, did some measurements this morning and the can on both of the motors are 2 5/16" long.
