Just curious if anyone has good luck using any other connectors other than bullets for their boats. Im not a huge fan of bullets but are deans,xt60's, EC5's and andersons just not able to handle the amps that are required for FE boats that bullets are the only choice?

Never mind I see bullets are the only way to go for these set ups

Well initially ill be hooking up two Gens ace 4000mah 4S1P 14.8V 25C Lipo batteries on parallel, in a kintec pursuit with a Leopard 4074 2000kv motor and Seaking 180amp esc.

Would EC5's work? I see they have a 120 amp rating but isnt that the same a 5.5mm bullets?

an EC5 connector is just a 5.5mm bullet connector in a case. makes it so much easier NOT to plug things in the wrong way.

I have some EC-5's but have not used them yet but my setup probably only pulls 60 to 70 amps and I am sure they will be fine. Sounds like yours will pull higher amps I think the 5.5 bullits would be better

The male side is actually made like the smaller 3.5mm bullets the good 5.5 bullits are for sure more heavy duty and may fit together tighter

I use ec5s in a 120-140 amp set up and works fine
