Motor Recommend. for single motor Genesis

Converting a genesis I traded for back to single motor. What motor do you recommend.

    I have

    1515 Neu 1650kv

    1520 castle

    1518 castle

Turnigy 600 outrunner 1400kv the large red one.

also what lipo combination with them

Not looking for a world record holder here, nice easy to drive boat with good speed.

Also watch the for sale section as I will have 2 cat stingers outdrives for sale too and motors.

    1518 on 5s2p with a x642
The genesis likes high rpm with low diameter props with a lot of pitch.

There goes my crazy idea of running 4S2P/4074 2200Kv/T180/Prather S225.

Any of the 15's will make it rock. A seaking / Turnigy 180 will power it well.

High RPM, small prop work great.

I run one with a 1970kv on 6s w/440 prop and it screams. Using the stock 4mm setup too.

I've run a bunch of different motors and all the same result, big prop bad handling, smaller prop, better handling.

Planning to put a 1520/1600 on 8/9s for an extreme SAW setup. Might even reach 10s if the magnets stay on the rotor.

Volts x amps = Watts, Watts = HP
Volts x KV = Theory RPM

Set your theory to about 40k or so and use a 640/642/645 prop.

I had a hard time with the little I ran it with cornering at speed. The wider hulls like the sprint cats do a much better job at this.

I am planning on using the CC 1520 and starting out on 6S power with the 16 series
ABC props that I have been working on.

                    Should really scoot pretty good.

Will be using the new fightercat 17S ESC and torturing it. :-)

I just changed my avatar picture to the converted Insane 45" mono on twin outrunner power.

the little thing on the deck is a micro digital video camera I was usint that particular day.
