That is exactly why it looks like that.

The contestants are in the proper order as placed. Just using heat scoring points instead. rcRacingEvents was designed for heat race scoring only.

Points were awarded for the first eight positions based on laps completed to fit the scoring format for rcRacingEvents.
NAMBA does not score past eighth place, and all contestants beyond eighth position received eighth position points as per NAMBA rules.

The way I understand it the heat records are for one mile and don't distinguish what size course it was on anymore. 8 laps on an 1/8 mile course would likely be no where near as fast as 6 on a 1/6 mile.

It's possible I'm wrong on that but there's no place on the record pages for a 1 mile 1/8 mile course. There's 5/8 mile that nobody runs.

So let's set up a 1 mile course (with only one turn at each end) and REALLY set some records!

Our course has been surveyed by a licensed professional and meets all the criteria needed for a national event
FYI this is out of the NAMBA rule book under Electric 28-B Official courses-1-Oval .

                B. OFFICIAL COURSES 1. Oval
                Sample Race Distances
                1/10 Mile 170' 30' 528.5' 5 laps = 1/2 Mile 10 laps = 1 Mile
                1/8 Mile 220' 35' 660' 4 laps = 1/2 Mile 5 laps = 5/8 Mile 8 laps = 1 Mile
                1/6 Mile 330' 35' 880' 3 laps = 1/2 Mile 4 laps = 2/3 Mile 5 laps = 5/6 Mile 6 laps = 1 Mile

                e) Separate NAMBA Fast Electric Heat Racing records on each course will be maintained for the following distances:
I couldn't say where they keep the records, but according to this they do keep them.

                    Hey Terry,
We really missed you at this years Nat's. Hope to see you next year.

Here is the scoop according to Newland.
They will keep separate records for all 3 course sizes. (1/6th, 1/8th, & 1/10th)
The course must meet the criteria in the NAMBA Rules FE section.
This means only 35' radius turns in the correct lengths & 3 to 5 buoys.
We did have the course surveyed as requested by NAMBA.
FE probably needs to do some work on our course rules as the gas and nitro
guys have multiple radius' to choose from, in my opinion we need the same latitude.

Dave noted that the NAMBA web-page is out of date as it still has 5 lap
oval records listed. It will need updating, but each length course will have
it's own set of records even understanding that the same total length will be run.
I too had the same original thoughts on 1 mile is 1 mile, but Dave assured me
that they will all have their own record set.

We had records set in all classes except SV 27 stock and cracker box
which were run as exhibition classes.

                    Hope this helped,
                    Thanks, Ken

Missed me? Surely you found someone else to hang in the Haines lounge area. Bring your pole and disco ball to the next one. I'll drag Fred out from under his rock too. We sure missed being there. Especially with the weather we've had up here.

I do remember this about the records. You have to tech and apply on the spot. Sounds like nobody was that into records so probably doesn't matter much. I know it's a competition and all but with the FE gang the fun is always first.

They tech'd right after each heat for each person that wanted to. They had a table to measure and tech.

That's perfect. Just the way you want to do it.

In Jersey, Waters had us fill out the forms right there. Then he reviewed them to make sure everything was right. That worked really well.
