    Caps?

I have a big bo of caps, And I want to make a cap bank for my t180, what Caps do I need to use? (voltage, any other ratings needed)
How many should I put? as many as I have?
The caps are fairly old so I don't know the quality, are they still okay to put on an ESC?

For any esc I would always recommend using Ultra Low ESR caps. The ripple current from the varing impedance (caps are freq dependant) can make them get very hot. The Ultra Low ESR caps have the lowest current useage rating and will not get as hot as non UL ESR caps.

For the T180 I would recomend you use an additional 3 caps. Use 50v 1000mfd and you will be doubling the factory installed caps if its a later V2 T180. Earlier ones used 35v caps.

Having said all of that you can install what ever you have thats close, but why go to the bother of adding caps and use ones that are "close". Use the best ones you can since your going to the trouble. Just my 2 cents.

Alright, and do I just solder on the caps to the existing terminals?

Okay, never mind, the highest rated Cap I could find was 63V 1mfd, I guess technology has evolved a little...

Thats one way. As long as you match the correct polarities you will be alright. A couple guys here on OSE have some pictures in one of the many "cap adding" posts. I dont remember exactly right off hand a particular one but with a search you can find some nice pictures of how clever alot of the members are! OSE carries the right "do it yourself" caps for pretty cheap.
